Azenhas do Mar: one of Portugal’s postcards

Photo: Azenhas do Mar, in Portugal. Personal archive.

It may look like Greek a bit, with its white houses in the top of the cost, but it’s Azenhas do Mar, a village in Sintra, in the parish of Colares. At the base of this cliff there is a very nice restaurant, which has the same name as the village. It’s worth going to Sintra in the early morning, taking a walk (perhaps even going as far as Cabo da Roca) and stopping in Azenhas for lunch fresh fish.
